RREAL
Rural Renewable Energy Alliance is a 501(c)(3) non-profit grassroots
organization pairing Social Activism with Solar Energy in our commitment
to bring solar heat to low-income households. Through our Solar
Assistance Program, we provide clean solar heating systems to low-income
families that qualify for Energy Assistance.
We believe that solar energy presents a viable alternative to fossil
fuels that is both environmentally sound and socially empowering.
In order for solar to be widely embraced, it must be available to
people of all income levels. However, renewable energy remains out
of reach of many lower income households.
Yet, lower income families would realize enormous benefits from
solar energy systems. Low-income households bear a greater burden
when energy crises strike. As the price of fuel oil, natural gas
and electricity rise, some families have to choose between food
and heating their home.
At RREAL, we believe that we have the power to make a difference!
Minnesota has more annual solar energy potential than Houston, TX!
Our program contributes to:
• Rural Poverty Alleviation
• Reduction of Air Pollution
• Self-Reliance & Sustainable Living
• Education and Awareness of Renewable Energy
• Ending Program Dependency
