WERC News - Spring 2007

Act Now and Order Your Site Plan and Wind Turbine Early

The snow is up to our hips here and the the March winds are blowing.

We are ready to help you get a "Small" Wind Machine running at your place so you can feel good too, like the rest of us turbine owners, every time you look up at it spinning (or not). Jacobs, Whisper, Skystream or other turbines we sell and install are eligible machine for a USDA 9006 grant.

The Jacobs 31-20s are going up about $4500 in price on March 16, so to be eligible for a USDA funding/reimbursement at the lower price, your USDA grant application needs to be dated before your down payment check is dated, which puts on a hustle for us all. We are prepared to get your application done on time with you.

The WERC team were successful in 2006, receiving 10 of 11 grants we appied for...and 8 of 9 were for USDA 9006 grants. We charge $75 per hour to write, research, assemble, help create and other wise get your grant application in on time. See some of our 2006 Small Wind projects at www.ecowerc.com/projects.html

Between 10-15 hours is typical for each application, although you can do some of the data entry, research, clerical or other non-technical (or technical) work to reduce the hours. Here is the main site for the applications and instructions: http://www.farmenergy.org/appsandtools/index.php#forms

Let us know how you would like to proceed.
