The energy crisis of the late 1970's and the consequent boom in the solar industry brought about a need for reliable solar/shade analysis. In answer to this need, a brilliant engineer and his mathematician wife teamed up and invented the Solar Pathfinder™. Other inventors also tried to answer the same call for a solar site analysis instrument, but none surpassed the Pathfinder™ in its engineering, accuracy, ease of use, comprehensiveness in solar site data collection.

The panoramic view of the site reflected on the surface of the transparent dome combines with the transmitted image of the underlying Sunpath Diagram to reveal the site’s solar potential for the year.
